Read ServiceTitan's Termination Clause Before You Sign

“If you want to terminate the Agreement before the term of the Agreement is over, you will owe a termination fee equal to all the remaining payments.” That line is from ServiceTitan's Terms of Use.
For a small shop, that clause matters more than anything on the feature list. If you're looking for a ServiceTitan alternative, Invoice Goat is $79 a month with no term, or $69 a month if you pay for the year up front. Every feature is on one plan, and you cancel from your billing page. Nothing held hostage.
What “All the Remaining Payments” Means for a Small Shop
ServiceTitan's 10-K (its yearly report to investors) says new customers “primarily” sign annual or multi-year agreements, with terms “typically ranging from 12 to 36 months.” The bill “generally” comes monthly, in advance, “regardless of contract term.”
So say a two-person HVAC shop signs a contract with a 24-month term (ServiceTitan calls it an order form). Six months in, the owner decides most of it doesn't fit how they work. Under the Terms of Use, walking away then means a termination fee of the other 18 monthly payments. The six months already paid don't come back either, since the Terms say fees are non-refundable unless agreed in writing.
We'd put a dollar figure on those 18 payments if we could. ServiceTitan doesn't publish one. Its pricing page lists three packages, Starter, Essentials and The Works, and each says “Request Pricing.”

How do I switch from ServiceTitan to Invoice Goat?
